XAMK wood construction laboratory

In XAMK’s wood construction laboratory, located in Savonlinna, Finland, testing and research will continue in very high-quality premises in the future, as the project met the following requirements:

– humidity management and tightness goals
– MEP quality targets for the challenging temperature and humidity conditions of the testing facility
– timetable and cost monitoring of the EU-funded project.

The earthquake pit and the associated demanding concrete structures make the site unique worldwide.

The project was completed in October 2023. The project was divided into an earthworks contract and an construction contract. Finally, the user’s equipment purchases and installations were coordinated.
