New insights and more efficient everyday operations for Härryda municipality in Sweden
12.12.2025 – With its previous property management software reaching the end of its lifecycle, Härryda municipality selected Granlund Manager to meet its operational and functional needs. The migration from the old system supported a smooth implementation and a seamless transition across the organisation.

The municipality of Härryda previously used a property management system that collected information on properties, fault reports and energy use. As the system approached its end-of-life, the search for a modern and user-friendly replacement began. The goal was to find a complete solution that could support long-term property management.
“In 2022 we learned that our previous property management system would be phased out within a few years, which prompted us to start scanning the market for a new solution. We wanted a comprehensive software solution and Granlund Manager met all our needs”, says Hanna Halldan, Planning Manager at Härryda municipality.
Large volumes of data migrated
The implementation progressed in phases as all information from the previous software was migrated to Granlund Manager. The volume of data was significant as the municipality had digitalised extensive amounts of property management information and carried out detailed inventories.
Over the past five years we have inventoried all our properties down to room level, which resulted in a significant amount of data to migrate for planned maintenance work – more than 60,000 rows of data.

The property and asset structures were built first, followed by the introduction of service requests. After a pilot in two properties, the entire organization received training and the solution was fully in use within a month. Additional features were subsequently taken into use. Today, Härryda primarily uses Granlund Manager for service requests, energy monitoring, maintenance planning as well as its inspections tool for property reviews.
“The transition to the new service requests tool went remarkably smoothly. Staff adapted quickly to the new software and we received positive feedback from the organisation”, Halldan continues.
From manual paper processes to digital workflows
With Granlund Manager the municipality has moved from manual to digital property inspections. What was previously handled with paper and pen is now completed directly in the software which ensures faster information flow and more reliable follow up.
Where consumption data could previously take over a month to compile it is now available within a few days.
Camilla Fröidstedt Hedlund, Property Manager, Härryda municipality

“We have taken an important step forward in property inspections. The process is faster and more accurate and it gives us a better basis for planning and decisions. We save a great deal of manual work both on site and afterwards in the office”, says Camilla Fröidstedt Hedlund, Property Manager at Härryda municipality.
Energy monitoring has also become more efficient. Electricity and district heating data are collected automatically into the system through integrations which makes monitoring easier and more accurate. With this in place deviations can be identified and addressed much earlier.
“With operational monitoring in the system, we can quickly detect deviations and act immediately. This saves both time and money”, Fröidstedt Hedlund continues.
Looking ahead with development in focus
After a couple of years with Granlund Manager, Härryda municipality feels confident in the system and the new way of working. The organisation now aims to deepen its use of the platform.
There is much more potential in the software, and we want to continue developing together with Granlund.

We have many ideas and requests, and Otto from Granlund has been very helpful and generous with his time and patience with us, which we appreciate greatly,” Halldan concludes.
